Master basic mathematics by completing addition and multiplication challenges. Challenges are presented in table format to help reinforce a pattern of understanding.
Choose either an addition or multiplication challenge. Then choose the numbers you would like to try. For example, to practice the 5 times table, click on the multiplication tab and then tick the 5 checkbox. If desired, change the level to 1, 2 or 3. When ready, click "Go".
Multiple numbers can be ticked in order to practice more than just a single multiplication or addition table.
The most recent challenges selected are displayed along the right hand side. They act as kind of a shortcut to jumping immediately into a challenge.
Here your challenge awaits! Click the "Start" button to begin. Based on the challenge you have chosen, your are presented with a series of questions. The question is highlighted in the main grid, and also displayed in the middle on the top.
To answer a question, click on a number in the grid on the right. It is also possible to type in an answer and then click the "Go" button or else press enter.
The three levels "1", "2" and "3" all present differing numbers of answers to choose from in the grid on the right. The first level #1 presents only the possible answers for the current challenge. The second level #2 presents the answers and also some numbers that are not answers. The third level #3 presents all numbers, here you really need to know your stuff!
The three levels also control the time alloted for each question in the challenge, as well as the number of points you can earn per answer. Level 1 has an unlimited time limit and results in 10 points for each correct answer. Level 2 has a 30 second time limit and awards from 10 through 50 points depending upon how quickly you can answer correctly. Level 3 has only a ten second time limit, and points awarded can range between 50 and 100 if you can answer in time!
At some points during a challenge it is possible to change the current level of the challenge. Try making the challenge easier or harder by clicking the appropriate level buttons.
Here the details of the current challenge are displayed. Points are given for each question answered depending upon the level and the time taken to answer the question. Correct answers in level 1 count for 10 points, correct answers in level 2 range from 10 through 50 points, and correct answers in level 3 count for 50 up to 100 points!
At the top of the page is a summary of the challenge results. The average level is displayed along with the total score achieved in the challenge.
A history of the challenge is presented with the most recent challenge list at the top. For each challenge listed there is the average level used during the challenge and the points achieved during the challenge. If the challenge has not been completed then there is a link to continue the challenge. There is a link to view the challenge details as well as a link to delete the challenge if desired.
A chart of the progress throughout time of challenges is displayed. The chart is created in time order from left to right. Watch your scores improve as you work on more and more challenges!
Tip: Challenges deleted through teh history page automatically drop out of the chart.
